RAYMOND
Raymond Mearns" considerable ability to keep his stand-up fresh, relevant and most of all extremely funny has won him recognition as one of the most consistent comedians in the land.
Described by Frankie Boyle as "a genuine improvisational genius" and Billy Connolly as "a man who knows how to swear properly", Raymond is one of the UK"s finest circuit comedians, and can be seen most weekend evenings entertaining audiences at some of the nations" top comedy venues.
With several acclaimed Edinburgh Fringe shows to his name, in 2014 Raymond completed work on Planet Mearns for BBC Radio Scotland, and Planet Mearns – Christmas Special broadcast on BBC Radio Scotland on Christmas Day.
A familiar on screen presence, Raymond"s acting credits include films Ae Fond Kiss (2004) and It"s a Free World (2007), both directed by Ken Loach and the ITV1 drama Doors Open (2012) written by Ian Rankin and starring Stephen Fry, as well as roles in Rab C Nesbitt, River City, Limmy"s Show and Legit.
