ALAN BISSETT: THE MOIRA TRILOGY

2025 TOUR ON SALE NOW!!!

Since 2009, Alan Bissett’s ‘one-woman show’ The Moira Monologues, about Moira Bell – single mother, cleaner and Falkirk’s Hardest Woman – has been leaving audiences all over Scotland weak with laughter and garnering rave reviews.

Alan continued Moira’s story with More Moira Monologues in 2017, which won a Fringe First and was shortlisted for Best New Play at the Critics Awards’ for Theatre in Scotland (CATS), then 2022’s Moira in Lockdown.  Both were just as acclaimed by critics and audiences as the original.

Now, for the first time, Alan will be touring all three shows as a ‘one-nighter’, giving audiences the chance to experience Moira’s hilarious journey in a single sitting.

Make sure to get your tickets for this unique and thrilling theatrical event, about the woman who Joyce McMillan (Scotsman) called ‘the most charismatic character to appear on a Scottish stage in a decade.’

‘A near-perfect series of monologues, both howlingly funny and unnervingly sharp and poetic.’ The Scotsman *****

‘Heart-stoppingly funny, and heart-warming, Bissett has created nothing less than storytelling perfection.’ The Quintessential Review *****

COMEDY FARMER JIM SMITH EXTENDS SCOTTISH TOUR

SCROLL DOWN FOR TOUR DATES AND BOOKING DETAILS

COMEDY FARMER JIM SMITH EXTENDS SCOTTISH TOUR DUE TO EXCEPTIONAL DEMAND

Rising comedy star Jim Smith announces a new herd of autumn dates for his sell out Back to the Teuchter tour as the funny farmer brings tales of rural life to audiences across Scotland.

It's Countryfile meets The Only Way Is Essex as Jim hits the stage with quirky characters, distinctive regional slang and perfectly pitched impressions to give city slickers an understanding of what the outside world looks like to those that 'bide up the glen'. Hot topics include internet dating for farmers, village nightlife and how to pimp your Land Rover.

After catching the comedy bug writing sketches for the Young Farmers panto and making his stage debut five years ago, Jim Smith is now one of Scotland's most exciting up and coming performers. Still a working farmer in Perthshire, Jim's unique insight into rural living coupled with his sharp observational humour creates a show that’s suitable for country bumpkins and dead trendy townie folk alike.

The autumn tour extension comes hot on the heels of his BBC mockumentary mini series The Farm and will see him perform in Inverness, Aberdeen, Campbeltown, Skye, Kelso, Oban, Kilmarnock, Dumfries, Falkirk and Perth.

With two sell out Fringe runs under his belt (and when he's not taking care of sheep and cows) Jim is in demand as a performer all over Scotland. TV and radio credits include BBC Radio Scotland's Breaking The News, BBC Scotland'sScot Squad and BBC Short Stuff The Farm Diaries.

JAMIE MACDONALD: SCOTTISH TOUR – SPRING 2019

JAMIE MACDONALD - DESIGNATED DRIVER

‘Consistently hilarious’ ***** Ed Fest

‘Not afraid to milk his disability’ ***** Broadway Baby

‘Pure wit and confidence’ **** Skinny

‘One of the funniest Scots on the circuit’ **** Sunday Herald

This is foot to the floor comedy courtesy of Jamie Macdonald, that funny blind guy. Irreverent, hilarious stories from the Glaswegian you don't want driving you home. The master storyteller has uncovered a conspiracy about humiliating products for the blind. It's topical humour with a disabled slant. Charming, disarming, eye-opening comedy.

Jamie MacDonald is a Glaswegian stand-up comedian who just happens to be blind. MacDonald’s blindness flavours his comedy but doesn’t define it. That said, he has found that being blind allows him to extract comedy from lesser explored areas; like the jealousy he feels towards laboratory mice with 20/20 vision and the humiliating range of clothing and accessories sold by the RNIB. Jamie is nothing if not a believer in diversity, meaning Designated Driver can be enjoyed by Blinkies (blind people), Wheelies (people in wheel chairs) and Normos (people with no disability) alike

Jamie Macdonald has performed sell out Fringe shows with Assembly since 2014 and is now popping up on radio and TV. Credit's include BBC Radio Scotland's Breaking the News, Radio 4’s ‘Fred at the Stand and BBC Scotland's Scot Squad

Fastest selling act at Glasgow International Comedy Festival 2017 & 2018 embarks on Scottish tour.

Susie McCabe: Domestic Disaster

After the phenomenal success of her debut Scottish tour in 2017, Susie McCabe is back with a brand-new show.

This year Susie looks at why she is generally rubbish and a disaster at all thing domestic and more. Aged 38 and a half, Susie, once a proud domestic goddess in her own head, has discovered not only is she a domestic disaster she is an actual disaster.

Her brilliant storytelling, acute observations and killer punchlines have made her one of most sought-after performers in the UK. Her debut Scottish tour in 2017 sold out more than half the dates and the 2018 tour looks set to be even bigger. Susie can regularly be found compering and headlining at top comedy clubs all over Scotland such as the Stand. Susie has also supported the likes of Ardal O'Hanlon, Zoe Lyons and Stewart Francis on his National tour.

A firm festival favourite, Susie has completed 2 hugely successful solo runs at the Edinburgh Fringe and has 6 sell out shows at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival (GICF) under her belt. She has been tipped as one to watch in 2018, so don't miss this chance to catch her on her new Scottish tour!

‘A naturally funny storyteller, a genuine stand-up, highly recommended’ Kevin Bridges
